The annual end-of-year Pathology Residency Banquet and Awards Ceremony was held on Saturday, June 7th at the Pyle Center. Congratulations to this year’s resident and faculty award winners!!
Thomas Warner Award for Excellence in Morphology and Diagnostics: this award is faculty-selected and presented in recognition of resident excellence in histologic diagnosis. The winner this year was Dr. Alex Tannenbaum.
Golden Microscope Award: this award is resident-selected and presented in recognition of exceptional aptitude for and commitment to resident education. The winner this year by enthusiastic resident vote was Dr. Jin Xu.
Pathology Resident Excellence in Teaching: this award is medical student-selected and presented in recognition of exceptional aptitude for and commitment to student education. The winner this year was Dr. Alex Tannenbaum.
Award for Pathology Resident Leadership in Research: this award is faculty committee-selected and given in recognition of outstanding research presented at the USCAP annual meeting. The winner this year was Dr. Qiong Zhang.
Chief Resident Recognition: Drs. Levi Endelman and Margarita Consing Gangelhoff were thanked by faculty and residents alike for their outstanding and dedicated work and were presented with certificates in recognition of their performance.
