The UC-Davis Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine has recognized Shahriar Salamat, MD, PhD, with their 2023 Distinguished Alumnus Award. This award was launched in 2015 and honors a graduate of the UC Davis residency or fellowship program – Dr. Salamat was both a Resident in Anatomic Pathology and a Fellow in Neuropathology. The purpose of the award is to recognize alumni who illustrate the many facets of professional and personal success in their specialty, who inspire trainees in their career journeys, and inspire faculty in their educational roles. Dr. Salamat delivered the short address at the UC Davis house staff graduation dinner in June 2023.
