Kaitlin Sundling, MD, PhD, has been selected to compete in the Cytology Shark Tank at the American Society of Cytopathology (ASC) 66th Annual Scientific Meeting in November. Three finalists were selected to present their proposals for an ASC Young Investigator Award to the “sharks”. The winner will receive a 2-year, $50K grant to further the discovery of new knowledge related to the advancement of cytopathology.
Dr. Sundling is a former resident and current Clinical Instructor in the Department with clinical service duties in cytopathology. She also holds an appointment at the State Lab of Hygiene. She will “dive in” on November 12th with her proposal titled Development of a Deep Learning Image Analysis System for Improved Cytology Screening.
