It is with sadness that we mark the passing of Dr. Kennedy Gilchrist on June 22, 2025 at the age of 87 (Kennedy Gilchrist Obituary). Dr. Gilchrist served as a surgical pathologist and accomplished academician for 30 years in the department, retiring to Emeritus status in 2003. For many years, Kennedy served with a small group of pathologists including Reza Hafez, Tom Warner, and Enid Gilbert-Barness as our entire surgical pathology section, a chapter that comes to a close with Kennedy’s passing.
