ENT or GU Surgical Pathologist
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is recruiting an academic surgical pathologist. An MD, DO or MD/PhD and board eligibility or certification in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP are required. Surgical pathology subspecialty training in or greater than three years of sign-out experience in ENT or genitourinary pathology is also required.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities in ENT/endocrine service with a focus on ENT pathology with time on other specialty services, particularly genitourinary, as appropriate to their skills, training and interests. In addition, the appointee will be given the opportunity to work closely with multi-specialty UW Comprehensive Cancer Center groups on collaborative clinical and translational research projects and to teach a variety of learners. The University of Wisconsin Medical Center is a tertiary care center with comprehensive programs in cancer and transplantation, and with actively funded SPORE programs in both prostate and head and neck cancer. The laboratory processes greater than 60,000 surgical specimens per year.

The successful candidate will be appointed as a full faculty member of the department on a non-tenure track – either a clinical health sciences (CHS) or a clinician-teacher (CT) track. The CHS track academic pathologist will sign out surgical pathology cases and contribute to the teaching and research missions. The CT track pathologist is primarily a clinical pathologist, signing out surgical pathology cases and teaching trainees.
