The 7th annual Michael N. Hart Pathology Research Day was held on Tuesday, August. 28, 2018 and featured keynote speaker, Nicholas Lukacs, PhD, from the University of Michigan Medical School. The day also included a series of short talks, a professional development panel and poster session.
The Reza Teaching Award, a peer-nominated and selected award, was presented to Drs. Paul Weisman and Shelby O’Connor, for their outstanding contributions to education.
30 posters were presented at this year’s event and 4 were chosen to receive awards. Winners are: Philip Emmerich (Dustin Deming Lab, Department of Medicine), Jeanette Metzger (Marina Emborg Lab, Department of Medical Physics), Daniel Matson (Hematopathology Fellow, UWHC), and Nellie McDaniel (Deric Wheeler Lab, Department of Human Oncology).
